About Us

We are a network of Spiritual Directors in Manitoba who meet together regularly to discuss the practice of Spiritual Direction in our province. By committee, we maintain this website and the list of Spiritual Directors provided in the directory. We also work together to individually and collectively advocate for strengthening public awareness of what Spiritual Direction is, who can benefit from it, and how to connect with a Spiritual Director near you.

Networking
If you are a Spiritual Director in Manitoba and would like to connect with others in your field, we invite you to connect with us. Our expanding group is interested in increasing our ability to work together. Future possible initiatives include organizing professional development opportunities, access to professional ethics teaching, facilitating supervision requirements (group or one-on-one), collaborating on public retreats or workshops, and more.

Advocacy
If you work for a religious organization, but do not know what Spiritual Direction is, we invite you to learn more about this work. Spiritual Direction has the potential to offer deeply meaningful connection and support for church leaders, ministry workers, and any congregant who desires deeper, one-on-one spiritual companionship that is sometimes hard to offer from busy church staff. Teachers at religious schools as well as not-for-profit staff or volunteers doing challenging work of supporting marginalized or underserved at-risk population groups can benefit from the kind and dedicated care of a Spiritual Director.
